Brian Browning, who has served as interim associate vice chancellor for operations since 2021, has been named permanently to the position, effective March 1st.
“Brian has done an excellent job in the interim role during a challenging time,” said Chris Cimino, senior vice chancellor for finance and administration. “I’m pleased he will continue to lead our central operations on a permanent basis.”
“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a talented team in campus operations at my alma mater,” said Brian Browning. “My goals include enhancing the wide range of services provided to the campus community through innovation and collaboration.” Browning began working at the university in 2001 as an auditor. Since then, he has held several administrative roles and most recently served as the executive director of auxiliary and support services within finance and administration.
As associate vice chancellor for operations, Browning will oversee a staff that supports parking and transit, bookstore, dining services, fleet management, print and mail services, conferences and event services, ID card services, warehousing, and arena management.
